Sad Owner

Seeing as how Halloween is this weekend and we're intending to have a party, my mom and I thought it best for us and the dogs to have them boarded at the vet's/kennel. It's the first time that Lilah and Ritter have been away from home since arriving (1.5 years for Lilah and 6 months for Ritter).

The last time we didn't have a dog in the house was when my first dog had passed away. That lasted for a year.

Suffice to say that I don't enjoy a dogless home. It's uncomfortable and lonely. I'm very attached to Lilah and I wouldn't be incorrect in assuming that she's very attached to me. So if I'm feeling all blue and out of sorts without her around, it makes me wonder how she's doing. At least she has Ritter nearby, if not in the same kennel, so I don't have to worry about the two of them as much.

I hope they're not causing trouble for the staff or annoying the other dogs with their incessant barking.

Monday seems so far away.

Locquat Seeds Are Delicious, Apparently

Even though I'm sure my mom thinks that the previous picture of Ritter was quite unflattering, she has yet to voice her disapproval to me. But, that does not mean I'm not sensitive to pick up on it and make things right.

I present to you a very unflattering picture of Lilah!

There, now both dogs have been equally wronged.

She was busy chewing on a locquat seed in the backyard during mid-summer. Look at that amazing tongue action! I love taking those pictures where the camera is right up in her face, so gritty, so real. You can even see the spit drops caught in her whiskers.

Ritter's Big Maw

Just a cute picture of Ritter mid-yawn. He was probably a bit tired after all the rolling around he did.

The Picture of a Lifetime!

At first it was just a photograph capturing the weird phenomenon:But with some patience and ready camera, I was able to capture this:

And yes, that is Rachel Ray's voice in the background.
